Okay, one last thing, like I mentioned in last week’s episode, before we get on to the Ten Keys, we decided we would mix these episodes up a bit by answering at least one question from you, the viewers, as we go through the “keys”. This question was about why I take the stand that we need to be very careful about not suggesting things happened in the past, during an age regression session, which did not actually happen. We talk a bit about false memory. I also cover why provoking an emotional response during a session is not necessarily useful, and how to do it in a useful way (i.e., catharsis). 1. Successful Hypnotic Age Regression Key #1: Proper client preparation, induction, deepening and testing.

1) If during Age regression the ISE or BISE is at a time which is PRELINGUIAL how can we get that information and subsequently communicate and provide insight to the Informed Child?
2)As a beginner I’ve tried to do a rapid induction of 8 words without success,what’s the secret or what signs am I overlooking in the client?
3) Is all the information in these podcasts contained in Cal’s book “Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy”?

More good news… We have added your list of questions to those we consider for the Hypnosis, Etc. show. In the mean time, let me see if I can give you some short answers.
You asked, “If during Age regression the ISE or BISE is at a time which is PRELINGUIAL how can we get that information and subsequently communicate and provide insight to the Informed Child?” Because your client is in hypnosis, and as such highly suggestible, when you ask the regressed preverbal client about what she is going through, this implicitly suggests that she will be able to answer you. In order to the child/infant to do this, she will borrow the ability to speak to you from the adult aspect of herself. It really is amazing when you think about it.
Next you asked, “As a beginner I’ve tried to do a rapid induction of 8 words without success, what’s the secret or what signs am I overlooking in the client?” Like I often say, if something doesn’t work which should work, then something important to the process was not done effectively before that point. If the Eight Word Induction does not work for you, then some part of the hypnosis pre-talk has not been completed. There is some fear, or misconception about hypnosis which is causing the technique to not work. Also, I wonder how are you determining if it worked or not. Remember, the only way to know if someone is in hypnosis is to do depth testing.
Finally, you asked, “Is all the information in these podcasts contained in Cal’s book “Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy”? My book, with Jerry Kein, entitled, Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy: Basic to Advanced Techniques for the Professional (available on the http://www.Amazon.com and http://www.BanyanHypnosisMall.com websites) is a very complete step by step way of looking at conducting hypnosis sessions. In that book I emphasize client preparation and age regression work. So, basically I go into the material in a deeper and more systematic way in the book, and in the podcasts it is more of an overview of different processes. However, having the podcasts and the book is the best way to go, because my latest podcasts have my latest insights and information.
