Hypnotists need some have some fun as well. This Off Topic: Strange… and Fun Group has been added to lighten things up a little bit. Right now we have a couple of threads going on about the Imperfect History of Medicine, the Ganzfeld Effect, and a funny joke that will make you smile.

Here are the questions we take on this episode:

1. When doing hypnotic age regression, what is the difference between an SSE and an SPE?

2. What benefits will I receive by becoming a 7th Path Self-Hypnosis Teacher?

3. When doing hypnotic age regression, how do I know when to switch from one kind of age regression bridge to another kind of bridge (i.e., affect, symptom, somatic, cognitive, etc.)?

4. Do you have a back-up plan for when you cannot do age regression?

5. Does it matter whether if the client is in true age regression and revivifying or just remembering (hypermanesia)?

6. What issues are best for using age regression on?

7. Which kind of age regression bridge is best for which kinds of issues?

8. Are there any online documents I can use to inform people about 5-PATH? I recommend the following links…

Hey guys, love your weekly video sessions, especially the parts where Cal keeps calling Meredith “Celeste”. Has anyone suggested hypnosis to fix that problem yet Cal? Like Maureen! 🙂
On the latest “live” session I noted that the preamble and commercial content took about 12+ minutes out of 32 total. Maybe you could cut back a little on that as most of us already know all about you from years of watching or having read all your site(s) info. I think most viewers are there to benefit from your experience and wisdom and the questions submitted by others.
Speaking of which, a friend asked me today what to do if you come up against a client with multiple personalities. I had never really considered that before and as far as I know I can’t recall it being discussed anywhere.
Got me thinking about DFEs and ISs. Could they be interpreted as another “personality” in the same way the medical profession would consider personalities in MPDisorder? If so, should we be dealing with them..and the thousand and one other questions that raises. With your background, Cal, I thought you would be the perfect person to throw some light on this topic. Please shine on.
    Be well,
    Mike Hulme,DC,C.Ht

    Hi Mike,
Thanks for your comment. We really appreciate your input regarding the show!

I’m having too much fun calling Meredith “Celeste” to take the easy way out and use hypnosis to overcome it! AND, I think Celeste really enjoys it as well. The fact that even after about 10 episodes, I keep making this booboo, it just goes to show you that you don’t have to be perfect to be a good hypnotist! 🙂

Regarding taking 12+ minutes to get into the topic of the show, I’m always working on keeping that as short as possible. Sometimes I do better than other times. The good thing is if you don’t find that part interesting you can just fast forward. (Although I hope you don’t!)

Regarding working with people diagnosed with Multiple Personality Disorder. I have not personally had experience with working on that issue. I would be willing to work on it as long as I was working as part of that individual’s treatment team. MPD is a serious mental condition and individuals with this diagnosis may need more support than what can be provided by a lone hypnotist (even if he or she has psychotherapeutic training like I have).

Post your question on the Ask Cal group on and we will add it to our list of questions to use on the show.

Regarding DFEs and such, I have some suspicion that these kinds of energies could be a part of the problem of MPD in some cases. However, I have never seen that in my practice. Again, if you want me to go into that in more detail post it to the Ask Cal group.

    Thanks again for your input!
