I have just posted two news articles of interest to hypnosis professionals. You can find them in the news area on www.Hypnosis.ORG.
The first hypnosis related article is about Hypnosis Before Breast Cancer Surgery. The hypnosis news report discusses how hypnosis can help women undergoing surgery for breast cancer. Learn about how a brief hypnosis session before entering the operating room required less anesthesia and pain medication during surgery, and reported less pain, nausea, fatigue, and discomfort after surgery than women who did not receive hypnosis. According to the article, the overall cost of surgery was also significantly less for women undergoing hypnosis.
The second article about hypnosis is covers a court finding that Hypnotically Enhanced Testimony Is “Unfair”. In this case a body has never been found, but in an individual was convicted of murder, largely on the strength of testimony given by “hypnosis-aided witnesses”. Now that testimony cannot be used. Read what happens now…
The fun continues in Part 2 of this hypnosis training video, Setting Up a Hypnosis Office & Training Center .
In this new series of 3 episodes, I talk about some hypnosis secrets, or as I like to say, “ Insider tips, tricks and techniques ”, you want to keep in mind when you set up your hypnosis or hypnotherapy office.
Many hypnotists are surprised to learn that there are some very important things that you can do to make your hypnosis clients more suggestible, even before you conduct a hypnotic induction.
I start this episode of Hypnosis, Etc ., hypnotherapy training series in our reception area, where we left off last episode, and then proceed into my hypnosis and hypnotherapy office.
Here are some of the secrets to setting up a hypnosis office, that I discuss in this hypnosis training video:
Place your desk facing the door with your hypnosis client’s back toward the office door.
Place your hypnosis certificates (and related degrees, if you have them) behind where you sit at your desk.
Learn a simple technique that you can use to set up a “halo of authority” and make your clients more suggestible and more hypnotizable.
How to (ethically) place hypnosis and related books in your office to add authority to what you are saying, and avoid problems with some “conservative” clients.
How to select the best recliner for conducting hypnosis sessions that will last and fit just about any size client.
How to select the right hypno-pillow for your clients, which is important if you do emotional release work.
I discuss video recording of your hypnosis sessions, and how to do so with two video cameras. I also discuss some reasons why you should start doing this now.
I share a brief overview of how to prepare your hypnosis clients for the hypnotherapy part of the session.
I hope you enjoyed the program and tour. Coming up in the next episode you will learn how we have the rest of the office and classroom set up for maximum success and income potential.
Everything else you want is at www.Hypnosis.ORG where you will also get a bunch of free hypnosis training that you can download any time you want!
Remember to send in your questions so that we can answer them on the show! We also appreciate any comments you leave us about our program. There is more coming next week so keep on checking back.
HYPNOSIS NEWS: Hypnotist Entrances Himself for Surgery
If anyone tells you that they don’t believe hypnosis will work, tell them about this guy!
“Alex Lenkei is not the first patient to reject an anaesthetic in favour of hypnosis before undergoing surgery – but he may be the first to have hypnotised himself.” Read More… (Entire article.)
Just in case you want to think about hypnosis this weekend, here is something to think about.
People who use hypnosis professionally vary in their definition about what hypnosis really is. I set up a “What is hypnosis?” page on www.Hypnosis.ORG help add to the discussion, and perhaps this will lead to a more general agreement about what hypnosis really is.
I also placed some links to other definitions of hypnosis on that page. Have a look, and if you like, leave some suggestions for other definitions of hypnosis, or links to sites that have authoritative definitions of hypnosis in the comments section below.
Here is the link to the hypnosis definitions page.
Dr. Wil Horton’s Basic NLP Course for hypnotists and hypnotherapists, to be held at the Banyan Hypnosis Center, here in Tustin, California, on June 26th through the 29th.
With these new skills added to your professional toolbox, you become more effective because you become a rapid change agent for your clients.
Everything gets better when you add NLP to your hypnosis toolbox :
You get the reputation for getting results faster.
You can charge more for your sessions.
You get more referrals and so your practice is more profitable.
You work smarter rather than harder, you can either work less, or profit more from the hours you dedicate to working with your clients.
Don’t train in NLP with just anyone! There are a lot of “NLP Trainers” out there, but very few can compare to Dr. Wil Horton, and here is why.
Dr. Horton is not just any old NLP trainer, he is a licensed Psychologist, and award winning hypnosis professional. And, that means that he knows exactly what hypnotists and hypnotherapists need to know and will teach this course with that goal in mind. Dr. Horton is the founder of the NFNLP.
This is going to be fun! In this new series of 3 episodes I talk about considerations you want to keep in mind when you set up your hypnosis or hypnotherapy office or center. I’ll use our Banyan Hypnosis Center for Training & Services, Inc. (California State Registered School of Hypnosis) as a model.
