Hypnosis in India seems to be growing faster than in China. I was just taking a look at our hit-map (see upper right side of this site at www.CalBanyan.com to see the map) and you can see that we are getting a lot more visitors from India than China. I’ve taken part of that map and placed it below.
Red dots indicate visitors to www.CalBanyan.com.
Larger dots mean more visitors.
This may be because of language issues. Perhaps, there are more English speakers in India than there are in China, or perhaps there is better access to computers and the Internet in India than there is in China.
When it comes to hypnosis in China versus India, I can also say that I have had many more students come from India than from China for hypnosis certification. This is a small sample, but my prediction is that, for at least the foreseeable future, hypnosis has a better future in India than it does in China.
Well, that is my first prediction for 2008. Check back, in our next Hypnosis, Etc. program, I am planning on making some predictions about hypnosis and the profession.

As many of you already know, the audio versions of our “podcasts” Hypnosis, Etc. have been available on iTunes for some time now, but we had not managed to get the video version up! Well, we have finally “cracked the code” and now we are uploading our free hypnosis training videos from www.CalBanyan.com onto iTunes. You will be able to get the audio and video version of Hypnosis, Etc. programs as well. (Thank you IT Department, John Paul and Chad!)

We will be doing this over the next couple of weeks. The first ten or so are up there now. We need to load the 40 or so that we have completed so far up there on iTunes in chronological order so that they show up in the right order when you and others go there to have a look.
NOTE – You do not need to have an iPod to use iTunes! You can use iTunes with any computer that is connected to the Internet.
I know that many of you will want to have a look at those videos on iTunes, here are some quick instructions.
By the way, it helps us out if you go there and subscribe to the program. The more subscriptions there are for a particular program the higher the rating it receives for popularity. So if you could have a look and subscribe it would help us to spread the work and get this training out to a wider part of the world. THANKS!
Here is how to do it:
1. Go to www.iTunes.com and download iTunes.
2. Install iTunes on your computer.
3. Then go to the iTunes Store.
4. Then click on the link for Podcasts on the left side of the screen.
5. At the top right side of the screen there is a search window. There you can type in “Cal Banyan” and the iTunes will list this podcast. Click on the podcast name “Hypnosis Video Blog by Cal Banyan” and then you will see the listing of free hypnosis training videos that we have uploaded so far. Once again, while you are there, I’d appreciate if you all click on the Subscribe button.
Subscribing to a podcast just means that whenever a new episode is uploaded to iTunes, I tunes will know to make it immediately available on your computer (and iPod if you have one).
On the subject of iTunes and Podcasts, while you are there I want to encourage you to take a look around. You will be amazed at the number of free Podcasts available. And, they cover just about every subject imaginable! Personally, I’m addicted and have downloaded over 400 Podcasts! I watch and listen to them all the time, like when I am getting ready for work, riding my bike, driving in my car and anytime I find myself stuck waiting somewhere. (I went out and got an iPod so that I could take them with me.) I’ve learned a lot about marketing, search engine optimization, and so much more, and it was all FREE! You can’t beat that!!!

I had an absolutely wonderful time in Singapore. I taught two classes while I was there. The largest class I taught was my Banyan Hypnosis Certification Super Course, which is two weeks long and includes 5-PATH® and 7th Path Self-Hypnosis®.
I want to congratulate these grads for completing the course and receiving their diplomas! I have never had a more enthusiastic bunch of students in one of my courses. I expect great things from them in the future. Also, this was a special course for me because it is the last one of it’s kind that I ever intend to teach in Singapore. We now have two very competent Certified Professional Hypnosis Instructors (CPHIs) in Singapore who will continue on in my stead, Nancy Ho and Fauziah Shah. I also look forward to hearing about their success in running the classes in the future.
