Okay that’s it. If you haven’t already done it, it is time to do it; register for the National Guild of Hypnotists 2006 Convention on august 11 – 13. I know that you will be glad that you did.
There are literally hundreds of seminars at the convention, ranging from one hour talks (which are included in the price of the convention), 2 to 4 hour seminars, day long seminars, and pre/post-convention workshops like my Week of Power certification course. It is the largest, most informative and friendliest hypnosis convention in the world.
Before, during and after the convention you are going to find some of the top trainers in the field offering courses and certification programs. Up to now it’s just been me talking and sharing hypnosis information with you all. But this time things start to get a bit more interesting. Maureen, who is my wife, General Manager of the Center, as well as the Director of Admission for our hypnosis school participates in this hypnosis Podcast by giving you some very important nuggets from her well-received and very important talk about how to book appointments. She will let you in on some of the secrets on how to turn those telephone calls into paying clients. She will talk about how to book smokers for sessions, book weight loss sessions, and generally get callers to book with you, even if they don’t book right away because they are “just calling around.”
This is a highly rated talk that fills the room year after year at the NGH convention, where she will be giving the full version of this talk in August. The good news for you is that you don’t have to wait to go to the convention to pick up at least some of these insider tips, tricks and techniques!
Get out a pen and paper because I know that you will want to write some of these gems down. Also, you will want to check out Maureen’s regular column in the Banyan Hypnosis E-Zine on our www.BanyanHypnosisMall.com website.
Oh and just a couple more things: If you like what you hear and you are going to the convention then I know that you will want to hear the whole talk, so you might want to contact the NGH right away to pre-register for the class to make sure that you can get into hear her. So far I have been mostly talking about hypnosis and how to do hypnosis, but now I want to mix things up a little bit and talk about things that you can do to build your hypnosis practice. It doesn’t matter if you are the best hypnotist in the world if potential clients can’t find you. Your business will fail. Furthermore, you should have a fun, profitable and fulfilling practice. In this hypnosis Podcast that is exactly what I am going to talk about.
This year at the NGH Convention I am going to give a talk on how to build your practice using the Banyan Star Business Model. In this Podcast I am going to talk about two important points on that five pointed star. I’ll start off with the two things that you can do right now or over the next couple of months that can completely change the nature of your business, making it more fun, interesting and profitable.
I think that you will find most of this information easy to implement. You could even start on step one this weekend!

Cal Banyan’s Hypnosis Training Podcast #7 (right-click and save as…)
This “Podcasting” thing is really catching on! Through the wonders of technology we are getting all of these important tips, tricks and techniques out for all to start using right now. And, this kind of hypnosis training is fun to produce. I think I’m hooked and I hope you are as well.
Hypnosis Podcast Program #6 is all about how to write AND customize scripts “on the fly” so to speak. This program will tell you how you can make any script that you currently use much better, as well as what you can do to produce a script for your client, which is completely customized right there while they are lying their in the recliner. Gone are the days of refusing clients just because you don’t have a hypnosis script to use. After studying this hypnosis Podcast you will be able to create customized scripts as you need them using this system, and they are free!

Cal Banyan’s Hypnosis Training Podcast #6 (right-click and save as…)
I wanted all of you to be the first to know about this. Maureen and I have been talking about it for a long time and we have decided to add another service to our list of things that we do. We have decided to open the Banyan Hypnosis Daycare Center!
It has been a lot of work getting all of the paperwork in order, and I even think that we have found the right location. 
Here is the plan. We are going to have a center where our employees care for children during the day, just like any other daycare center does, and then we add that special little twist, instead of nap time, we hypnotize the children! I just know that this is going to be great, and what parents wouldn’t want that for their kids?
During the “Hypno-Nap™” time we give the children suggestions for self-confidence, self-esteem, ability to focus and learn, and well just about everything that a parent would want for their children.
I think that in short order, the parents would really start to see an improvement in their children, and then maybe even want to have hypnosis sessions for themselves! I can see this kind of approach easily spreading across the USA and around the world. Once we have shown the effectiveness in preschool/daycare facilities, then elementary and higher grade schools would have to see the benefits of using hypnosis. Imagine what that would do to drop-out rates, drug use, teen pregnancy, and so many other problems that plague our society!
From there I figure it is a very short leap to the colleges, and even certain employers might be willing to offer hypnosis and hypnotherapy as a part of their EAP plans. It will be so much easier to approach corporations about hypnosis then.
Then of course you could expect to see hypnosis commonly used in our hospitals and even in elderly care facilities! “Hypnosis, cradle to grave,” so to speak. Now that is what I am talking about! This is sounding better and better as I lay this out. Have I got anyone interested in this yet?
And, to think that it will all start with the Banyan Hypnosis Daycare Center.
Hmmm, wait a minute. I just thought about something. There just might be one problem. I might have to work with all of those Curtain-Climbing-Crumb-Snatching-Lawn-Monsters what I like to call kids! Nah, on second thought, it’s just not worth it. What do you think?

I’m back once again with another hypnosis training program. With this hypnosis Podcast I continue to build on the theme of the importance of thinking about conducting your hypnosis sessions in a systematic way. When you think about the work you do as being a system you can adjust it for maximum and consistent positive results.
