Everyone here is very interested in learning more about hypnosis once they find out that I am a hypnotist. In fact, I have had several requests for hypnosis sessions! But, I am disappointing them all. I don’t conduct hypnosis sessions when I am on vacation. It would be fun to come back some time and offer a hypnosis certification course here or some other beautiful place in Mexico.

Let me ask you a question…  What are the two most important days in an individual’s life?  I’ll give you a hint, one of them is the day that you are born.  Do you have any guesses what the second most important day is?  No, it is not when you die.  I also don’t think it is when you get married, have a child, retire or anything like that.  The other most important day in any individual’s life is they day they learn why they were born, or why they came into this life!  This knowledge gives us purpose in life.  That is the great gift that you can give your clients when you have mastered the Informing Soul Technique.

Basically, the Informing Soul Technique can be understood as the use of hypnosis to enable an individual to go before she was incarnated, back to her pure soul consciousness.  Once in this state they hypnotist can speak to the soul of the individual and find out why she is coming into this life, and gather other information as well.  We specifically work within the period just before the soul incarnates and find out any knowledge of intentions for that life, such as:

• her role and purpose in the upcoming life

• any relationships continued from before

• the purpose of any special challenges in this life

I tell them that, “just hypnotizing someone is easy! All you have to do is find a willing subject, read them a good induction script” and that is about it. Well, of course there is more to it. Most people want to accomplish something through hypnotizing someone, right?

So, I decided I would put together this very simple outline on “How to hypnotize some”. Have a look and leave your comments. I’ll place some links in the outline below so that you can learn about specific (how to hypnotize) resources, such as induction scripts, and hypnotic suggestion scripts.

How to hypnotize someone:

1. Provide your soon to be hypnotized subject with a good hypnosis pre-talk. Here is a link to an example of a video we show our clients at our hypnosis center.

• Hypnosis Pre-Talk.

2. Of course, you will probably want to know why the person wants to be hypnotized. This part of the process is called the pre-hypnosis interview. You will use this information to select or create the suggestions that you will use during your hypnosis session.

• Article/Interview where I talk about the “pre-hypnosis interview”.

3. Use a reliable and fast hypnotic induction. Faster inductions tend to be more reliable when done correctly because your hypnotic subject is less likely to get distracted. All things being equal, the faster the induction the more reliable it will be in hypnotizing someone. Here are two of my favorite hypnotic inductions: the Elman-Banyan Induction and my Eight Word Induction.

• Demonstration of how to hypnotize some quickly.

4. Expert hypnotists will also test his or her subject to ensure that the subject has been hypnotized. If you are only looking for a light state of hypnosis, then simply suggest to the client that he or she is unable to open her eyes, then tell them to try to open them. When they are unable to open their eyes, your subject will be impressed! And, it is a good test for the lightest state of hypnosis. Experts will use covert testing for somnambulism when hypnotizing their clients.

• Here is a hypnotic induction script with a built in test for somnambulism.

5. Once you have hypnotized someone (your subject or client) provide him or her with suggestions for getting the results that he or she wants. The simplest way to do this is to be prepared by having your client tell you what results are desired. Then write out some statements before the session that are short, simple, positive and in present tense. Combine these suggestions with the benefits of making the change.

• Free scripts that you can use to hypnotize someone, and ways to give them suggestions once in hypnosis, along with other sources for hypnosis scripts.

6. Now that you have hypnotized someone, and after you have provided your subject with the desired suggestions, then you would emerge the client. This is commonly done by suggesting to the client that after a count of 1 to 3, he or she will open his or her eyes and emerge feeling great.

7. Then spend some time with your subject so that he or she can tell you about the experience. There it is. That is a very simple outline describing how to hypnotize someone. Check out the “how to hypnotize” links for the details.

Here are rest of the keys on the list…. 10 Keys to Successful Search Engine Optimization (Get Your Site on Google) - Part 3

1. (Covered) Page titles and descriptions should be unique. Every page on your website should have a unique title and description.

2. (Covered) Think about the words users would type to find your pages, and make sure that your site actually includes those words within it. Don’t get spammy.

3. (Covered) Try to use text instead of images to display important names, content, or links. You can use both.

4. (Covered) Check for broken links on your website. Links that don’t go anywhere are bad.

5. (Covered) Sign up for Google Webmaster tools. www.google.com/webmasters/tools This free tool has many features and statistical information for your websites on Google.
   

6. (Covered) Create an XML sitemap for your website and make search engines can see it. A free tool can be found here: www.xml-sitemaps.com

7. (Covered) Name your pictures correctly. Instead of “logo-large.jpg” use “hypnotherapy-in-orange-county.jpg”. Do not use spaces in file names.

8. Do not make your site or web page too complicated. Give the users easy navigation options. If it is easy for a person to use your site then it is easy for a spider (a search engine) to crawl.

9. Sign up for Google Analytics www.google.com/analytics. This is a great, free tool to find information about people browsing your website.

10. Create a robots.txt file for your website and properly configure it. This is an advanced tactic, and you can find more information about robot.txt files here.

Remember, you do not have to implement all of these keys or techniques yourself. You can use the information that we have provided for you to consult with your webmaster.

Here are the first 3 keys on the list… 10 Keys to Successful Search Engine Optimization (Get Your Site on Google) - Part 1

1. Page titles and descriptions should be unique. Every page on your website should have a unique title and description.

2. Think about the words users would type to find your pages, and make sure that your site actually includes those words within it. Don’t get spammy.

3. Try to use text instead of images to display important names, content, or links. You can use both.

10 Keys to Starting Your Successful Hypnosis Practice on a Budget:

1. (Covered) Why you should set a budget and how you can determine how much you can spend, and other factors.
2. (Covered) Make a list of the things that you need to spend money on, and then shop around for prices (you can save a lot)!
3. (Covered) Do not scrimp on hypnosis training! Get great training and your confidence will grow immensely! Celeste tells us how to find out who has the kind of training you need to be successful with your clients. We recommend generalized training that has a system you can use for a large number of issues.
4. (Covered) Save money by getting really good hypnosis office training. This includes how to market your practice, book telephone calls, set up your office for maximum referrals and more. Celeste recommends the Banyan Business Start-Up Pack as a resource.
5. (Covered) Take credit cards using Dial Pay. Dial Pay is the cheapest way to take credit cards and Celeste explains how it works and why you should start taking credit cards right away.
6. (Covered) Consider working at home. Then your office rent and utilities are free if you already have the space. Celeste tells you how to do this in the most professional and safe way possible.
7. (Covered) Spend money on a website that looks good & invest in SEO. Having a professional looking website can be one of your best marketing investments. We discuss some important search engine optimization (SEO) tips to get the most out of your website.
8. Use the internet for Advertising. It’s cheap and can even be free to market and advertise using the internet! Celeste covers awesome ways to get the word out using your computer online, and she lays out simply what she feels are the best places to get both cheap and free ads such as a free listing on www.hypnosis.org. She also tells you how that video camera sitting in your closet can get great SEO for your website.
9. Get out and meet people. Celeste gives tips on how to get the word out the good old-fashioned way, by getting out and passing out cards, flyers and more. She also tells you how to get doctor interested in your services and why they may a gold mine you may not have discovered yet. She also talks about why doctors want your services and what issues will most likely get your referrals.
10. Get referrals from your existing clients. Celeste tells you how to ask for them in such a way that they respond and how to keep your business top of mind with past clients so they may think of you with referrals as well.
11. Keep track of your money with a very simple system. How to remember who paid you and how much? Also, how you keep track of putting money aside to pay taxes. Celeste offers her simple easy system for free!
12. Set Goals for your business. How to set goals and why setting goals will pay off
13. If you live in a small town consider moving. Celeste tells you why moving to where people have income to spare canl make you money too. She also tells you the top 5 cities and towns that may be hot for building wealth. Hint: Cal is very familiar with one of them and Celeste was blown away when she found out the top one. You may be too!
14. Learn how to manage your personal finances and if possible become debt-free. Why being strong financially in your personal life will affect your business and how to get back on track if you are not.
