Very Interesting. My training and teachng hypnosis represent it as a modality for therapy and never to be used for entertainment as this is a gross misuse. Reading this material is causing me to have second thoughts..

Yes, in my training, including several well know trainers from the Erickson Foundation (ASCH) and from Neuro Linguistic Programming (I am a certified Trainer) have very strongly stressed that we should take our training seriously, use it ethically and that in no case should it be used on persons in a public place for the purpose of entertainment; that such could be embarrassing, they might reveal very personal information that would later cause embarreassment. Others, presumably in the know have reported that such is not hypnosis any way as persons are carefully selected who will “play the game” and that they are often given money to act the assigned role.

Of course, I have ventured from some of the other advise that I had been given, perhaps getting more curious as to what is possible on the eve of my eightieth birthday. Because early in doing hypnosis with clients I had people describing vividly a past life and when I treated the trauma in the prior life the presenting symptoms disappeared. Thus I have has no hesitance in doing a past life regression when this was requested and a valid reason was presented and I knew the person to be of a stable mind.
