I’m writing the from my hotel room in Marlborough, Massachusetts, with one more day of teaching the Week of Power Advanced Hypnotherapy 5-PATH® and 7th Path Self-Hypnosis® Certification Course ahead of me. And, I can tell you that it has been a great convention!
For me, this all started a few days before the actual start of the convention because I started teaching the first three days of the Week of Power on Tuesday and the Convention started on Friday. One of the highlights of the convention for me is the 5-PATHers Annual Reunion and Awards Dinner. It was wonderful seeing so many of our grads there for the dinner. Check out the photo to see all their smiling faces. (Click photo to enlarge.)
In addition to having a wonderful visit with all these grads of our programs we also gave out some awards to some individuals who have distinguished themselves during the last 12 months.
Here are the award winners:
7th Path Self-Hypnosis® Leadership Award was given to Delaware Hypnosis Partners, Beth Keil & Anne Shuman Urban. This award is given to the individual (or in this case hypnosis provider) who trained the most 7th Pathers during the previous 12 months, or otherwise promoted 7th Path Self-Hypnosis® in a particularly noteworthy way.
5-PATH® Leadership Award was given to Wendie Webber. This award is given to the one person who has done the most to promote 5-PATH® during the last year, or to provide leadership to other 5-PATH® hypnotherapists. Wendie distinguished herself by providing leadership, inspiration and information to many other 5-PATHers, especially by way of our Yahoo Email group and through individual consultation.
Award of Appreciation went to Jean Sutton. This is the first time that we have given out this recognition. From now on it will be given to those individuals that the Banyan Hypnosis Center for Training and Services wants to thank for helping us to accomplish our mission, especially with regard to training others in the use of 5-PATH® and 7th Path Self-Hypnosis®. Jean has assisted the National Guild of Hypnotists as an assistant to Elsom Eldridge, Jr. one of the main people who has built the NGH as we know it over the years. Jean has helped us and the 5-PATHers in countless ways over the years especially at the NGH Convention.
5-PATHer’s Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Elsom Eldridge, Jr. and is the first non-hypnotist to receive the award. This award recognizes the individual’s many years of supporting and building the profession of hypnotism. Elsom as I mentioned above, has been one of the main driving forces along with Dr. Dwight Damon in building the National Guild of Hypnotists, and through their combined effort have probably done more to promote our profession than any other individuals. Dr. Damon received this award last year.
All and all about 55 showed up for the dinner, and nearly 100 attended the convention. Good going 5-PATHers!
Thanks goes out to all our grads who came to the convention, our dinner, and especially to the award winners for all that you have done to help us to build this profession and make 5-PATH® one of the most important new systems of hypnosis.
Well, I have to get back to class! I will write more later when I get back home to California.
