Presurgery Anxiety? Hypnosis May Help:
I just love it when science catches up with what us working hypnotists already know. WebMD just posted an article where we learn that doctors are catching on to how hypnosis can be a good thing to do before you go into surgery.
In this article they tell us that, “Doctors at Yale University’s medical school reported the news at the American Society of Anesthesiologists’ annual meeting.” Yes, this is real research at Yale University.
They went on to say that, “They tested hypnosis on a small group of adults right before outpatient surgery.”
What did they find out? In their words, “Hypnosis worked.”
